The soprano Alyona Rostovskaya has been a member of the ensemble at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden since the 2023-2024 season and has appeared there as Contessa, Agathe, Hanna Glawari and Alice Ford, among others.
After being selected by Evamaria Wieser for the Salzburg Festival’s Young Singers Project, she was engaged at the Heidelberg Theatre, where she made her debut with great success in roles such as Rusalka, Governess (“The Turn of the Screw”) and Antonia (“Les contes d’Hoffmann”). Other roles at opera houses in German-speaking countries have included Mimì, Tatjana, Cunning Little Vixen and Giulietta (“I Capuleti e i Montecchi”). In concert, she has performed with Theodor Currentzis and the SWR Symphony Orchestra, among others. In the 2024-2025 season, she will appear in Wiesbaden as Micaëla and Contessa, among others, and will also make her debut as Contessa at the Komische Oper Berlin.
